Los Angeles
Star Party – LA Astronomical Society
Infinity and beyond.
Star Party Silverlake's mission is dedicated to advancing the knowledge of astronomy, optics, and the wonders of our universe by inviting those in our local community to join us in "Looking Up".
Every Thursday, members of the Los Angeles Astronomical Society congregate in Sunset Triangle Plaza to stargaze and educate the masses about our solar system and beyond, via public outreach. On select Thursdays once a month we expand our offering, providing live music and happy hour drinks for everyone.

About
The Los Angeles Astronomical Society was founded in 1926 by 30 local amateur telescope makers organized as the Los Angeles Telescope Makers Society. In furtherance of its mission, the LAAS conducts public star parties and other outreach events throughout Los Angeles that are intended to enhance the public's understanding of astronomy and its enjoyment and appreciation of the beauties and wonders of our universe.
