Adaptogens in the Wild: Upstate Mushroom ID Walk
Join us for a three-mile guided walk exploring the world of adaptogenic mushrooms through ID, sensory connection, and ritual. We'll start with a musical grounding on the handpan and taste homemade adaptogenic tea & coca before heading out on a 3.5mile walk. Along the trail, you’ll pause to observe species in their natural habitats and learn key markers and environmental characteristics. You’ll leave with a deeper understanding of how to ID these adaptogens and a renewed sense of connection to the forest.

About
Zach Para is a musician, producer, and educator whose practice is deeply tied to the rhythms of the natural world. From tending gardens to learning the language of wild landscapes, he draws inspiration from the ways the earth offers nourishment and medicine. Over the past decade, Zach has immersed himself in the study of adaptogenic mushrooms, refining the craft of tinctures and blends that he now shares with his family and community. His work invites others to slow down, listen closely, and reconnect with the restorative presence of nature.
