Block Print Workshop
See the world in patterns.
In this hands-on block printing workshop, I’ll guide you through turning the textures and shapes around you into bold, repeatable designs. You’ll carve your own 4x6” linoleum block, ink it up, and tessellate your motif into a one-of-a-kind print.
We’ll test on scrap paper to fine-tune your placement, then bring your pattern to life on your choice of textile -- a cotton tote or dish towel.
You’ll walk-away with a custom piece, a take-home carving kit, and the skills to keep printing long after the ink dries.

About
Gigi Allen is a visual artist and spatial designer who thinks in systems, patterns, and rhythms. She identifies seemingly simple geometries in everyday environments, then implements precise grids and dynamic gradients across color and scale to generate organized movement and uncover the interaction of parts. While her exploratory approach spans mediums and disciplines, painting and block printing are her primary tools for illustrating connections. Her work presents opportunities for meaningful observation, reminding viewers to tune into their surroundings for underlying discovery.
