About
Daniel Bapin has a PhD in geology from Columbia University. His goal is to inspire awe for even the most mundane aspects of the natural world.

What's Included
- A 10-minute crash course on Earth’s wild history, delivered in a natural amphitheater.
- Then we hit the trail, observing the history of New York via the park’s rock record. Along the way, you’ll learn how to differentiate rock types, decode glacial grooves and striations, and understand how rocks reveal stories to us of both past and present.
- We’ll end on Umpire Rock, where you’ll hunt down your own examples of the features we’ve covered.
