Gorp Girls Hike – Rock Spring Trail
Gorp Girls Take San Francisco
Join us for a morning on the Rock Springs Trail, a scenic loop through the heart of Mount Tamalpais. In partnership with the Gorp Girls community, this all-women’s hike is an opportunity to connect outdoors — with nature, with movement, and with one another.
We’ll follow a thoughtfully paced route that winds through open meadows, redwood groves, and sweeping coastal overlooks. Along the way, we’ll pause to take in the landscape, share stories, and celebrate the spirit of exploration that brings us together.
This hike is open to all women and femme-identifying participants and is designed to be welcoming, supportive, and community-centered. Whether you’re a seasoned hiker or joining for your first trail day, this morning on Mount Tam offers space to breathe, connect, and find rhythm on the trail together.

Hike Details
The Rock Springs Trail is one of Mount Tamalpais’ most scenic and rewarding routes — a rolling loop that weaves through meadows, oak woodlands, and sweeping coastal vistas. Beginning at Rock Springs Trailhead, the route offers a gentle yet invigorating mix of terrain, with panoramic views of Stinson Beach, Bolinas Ridge, and the Pacific beyond.
Along the way, we’ll move at a relaxed, conversational pace, taking time to pause, breathe, and soak in the changing landscape. Expect golden grasslands, shaded stretches of redwood and bay, and wide-open views that remind us how close wildness lives to the city.
This trail is roughly 4–5 miles round trip with moderate elevation gain — approachable for most experience levels and ideal for those looking to reconnect with nature, community, and themselves on the mountain.
