Kimchi & Bibimbap Workshop - Volcano Kimchi

More than Food

Join Volcano Kimchi for a social food experience centered around Korean flavors, fermentation, and meaningful connection.
Guests will come together over a colorful kimchi bibimbap bowl, a fermented drink, and a playful connection experience inspired by Korean Saju.
Spicy Connection is designed to make meeting new people feel fun, warm, and less awkward. Guests will be introduced to SajuFlow, a passion project that uses Korean Saju, also known as the Four Pillars, to explore elemental energy, zodiac signs, personality, and compatibility.
Rather than fortune telling, SajuFlow will be used as a cultural and interactive conversation tool. Guests will discover their own elemental energy, learn who they naturally connect with, and use that as a starting point for meaningful conversations with others.

Aruna Lee is the founder of Volcano Kimchi, a San Francisco based vegan kimchi and fermentation company rooted in Korean tradition, organic ingredients, and community building.
Raised in Korea and shaped by many years of Buddhist temple life, Aruna brings a deep sense of care, seasonality, and gathering into her food. Through Volcano Kimchi, she creates kimchi, banchan, sauces, fermented drinks, workshops, and cultural food experiences that celebrate fermentation as a way to nourish both body and community.
Her work is guided by the belief that food can help people feel more connected. For this event, Aruna will bring together Korean fermentation, bibimbap, and SajuFlow, her new passion project exploring Korean Saju as a playful way to understand energy, compatibility, and meaningful connection
