New York
Upstate Trail Run
Monthly Trail Runs Outside Of The City
This Fall, we are leading upstate trail runs conquering a new peak every month. Starting, with an objective based trail run in the Catskills— where we'll find flow through vertical relief and terrain shift.
This run is for the more experienced trail runner hoping to share miles and meet likeminded trail runners.
We'll start with a significant vertical gain - covering 2,300 feet in the first 3 miles. The route begins with a smooth, but grindy ski run averaging 16% gradient before gaining the false summit and transitioning to a rocky & rooty singletrack for the remainder. Your uphill effort will be rewarded with one of the best fire towers in the region with an incredibly fun & rowdy descent back down.
Note: Depending on weather conditions this technical section can get slick and muddy, so please bring shoes with good traction.

About The Guide
Riley Hunt’s relationship to the outdoors started early, shaped by time in the mountains between Utah and California with two mountaineers for parents. Now based in Manhattan, he spends his days as an international wine importer, moving between city life and the landscapes that continue to ground him—running, fishing, and riding through New England whenever he can.
