ABOUT Chev
Chev is an avid guide and explorer. He grew up in Kingston, Jamaica, and moved to Yonkers at 13, where his commitment to getting people outside began to take shape. Since then, he’s appeared twice on Naked and Afraid, led groups on all kinds of adventures—paddling, running, biking—while continually deepening his knowledge through a Level 4 sea kayaking certification, studies in horticulture at the NY Botanical Garden, and a Wilderness First Aid certification. He brings both deep local insight and a warm, supportive presence to every journey. Whether on water or trail, Chev creates spaces for growth, community, and lasting connection to nature.

Led by our guide team, the journey begins at Grand Central Station with a group train ride to Yonkers. We'll catch the 9:23 AM Metro-North train from Grand Central, arriving in Yonkers by 9:57 AM, creating space to ease into the day and connect before we’re on the water.
Prefer to drive? You’re welcome to meet us directly at Beczak Environmental Education Center by 10:00 AM. Parking is available in the Yonkers Paddling and Rowing at 35 Alexander St, which is the Yonkers Paddling and Rowing Club’s parking lot
