New York
Giant Stairs Hike - Palisades
Take On the Giant Stairs
This hike isn’t for beginners — it’s a challenge. But it’s one worth taking.
The full 4-mile loop climbs roughly 1,100 feet and takes approx. 2 hours, depending on pace and group size. We’ll descend toward the Hudson River before tackling the iconic Giant Stairs rock scramble: a rugged maze of boulders that demands focus, balance, and grit.
Along the way, sweeping views of the Hudson and New York City skyline will remind us why we climb. The trail finishes near a tucked-away waterfall — a quiet reward before the final push back up to the cliffs.
