Outdoor Ceramics Workshop – Prospect Park
Pressed By Earth
Join us for a meditative, hands-on clay workshop in the heart of Prospect Park. In this 2-hour outdoor session, we’ll explore the natural textures of the park—gathering leaves, plants, bark, and stones to press into soft clay slabs. You’ll create your own earthy tile pieces, guided by ceramic artist Stefanie, who will handle the glazing and firing process after the event.
This is an intuitive, grounding experience that invites you to slow down, connect with nature, and create something lasting from the land beneath your feet.
No prior experience necessary—all are welcome.

About Stefanie
Stefanie Guerrero's upbringing spanned Austin, Texas and San Luis Potosí, Mexico. Her artwork delves into the connections between her personal journey and wider themes of displacement, identity, and consumerism. Guerrero explores the impermanent nature of clay, adaptation as a survival strategy, and life's ephemeral quality. As a sculptor, educator, and proprietor of a ceramic studio, she strives to unite artists and foster a vibrant creative community.
