Usal X Geller — Sound Foraging
Listen Closer
Discover the hidden music of the world around you
Prospect Park becomes our source material. Together, we'll head out in search of the sounds hiding in plain sight, collecting recordings from the landscape around us and building a shared library of found frequencies. We'll come back together to transform those recordings into new compositions, uncovering what becomes possible when we treat the world itself as an instrument.
You'll leave with fresh sounds for your own projects, a new way of listening, and the chance to hear your recordings woven into Geller's Public Sounds performance on July 11.
Come curious. No prior composing experience needed.
