Trip Details
We’ll start in Colby Canyon and follow the Mountaineer’s Route—an out‑and‑back that covers about 6.7 miles with roughly 2,700 feet of gain. It’s a non‑technical route, so no special equipment or mountaineering background is needed.
The terrain does get interesting: expect a few steep scrambles and some exposed sections that add a focused, hands‑on element to the climb. The descent can feel a bit sharper than the ascent for some, but it’s well within reach.
- Length: 6.7 miles
