Usal Hike Club - Los Liones Canyon
Where the Mountains, Ocean and Canyons meet
Join us for a sunset hike to Parker Mesa Overlook, one of the most rewarding coastal viewpoints in the Santa Monica Mountains. We’ll begin in Los Liones Canyon, a trail known for its shaded canyon feel and coastal greenery, before climbing into more open ridgelines above the Pacific. As the trail rises, expect a mix of green canyon sections, coastal chaparral, and some visible fire-recovery
areas as the surrounding landscape continues to heal.
areas as the surrounding landscape continues to heal.
At the top, we’ll arrive at Parker Mesa Overlook just in time for golden hour, where the view stretches across the Pacific Ocean, Santa Monica Bay, the coastline, and Los Angeles below. As the sun drops, the ocean catches the last light and the city lights begin to glow.
