Morning Coffee at the Summit
Join us for a sunrise at the highest point in the Santa Monica Mountains.
We’ll begin under the glow of our headlamps, climbing through the stillness of the early morning toward Sandstone Peak. At the top, we’ll pause to watch sunrise.
We’ll have hot chocolate and coffee to share, so bring your favorite camp mug, bundle up, and enjoy the morning. Enjoy a slow start to Sunday before hiking back down.

This is a short but steep summit hike; the National Park Service rates the direct trail as strenuous. Expect a sustained climb and rocky, uneven footing.
We’ll move together at a steady pace, with time to catch our breath along the way. A headlamp is required, as we’ll be hiking up before daylight.
