This fall, we return to the forests of Northern California for the second edition of our Redwoods Retreat. Same spirit, new energy, and location — kicking off our October series of San Francisco events. Once more, the forest becomes our stage: a place to move through the trails, gather by the fire, and let shared moments under towering redwoods take root.
With 100+ acres of raw wilderness surrounding us, we’re bringing together 50 guests for the ultimate camping escape. Throughout the weekend, you’ll enjoy a thoughtfully curated lineup of Usal-led adventures, chef-prepared meals, and restorative nature experiences.
From miles of scenic, redwood-lined trails in walking distance of the property to pool and hot tub sessions and mindfulness workshops – this retreat is designed to reconnect you with nature, movement, and community. Step away from the ordinary and into an unforgettable weekend.

VENTURE RETREAT CENTER
Tucked deep among towering redwoods at the end of winding Eden West Road, along the edge of Little Butano Creek, Venture Retreat Center is a Northern California sanctuary for connection and curiosity. Rooted in the spirit of the 1960s counterculture, this hidden gem has long been a space for exploration, reflection, and growth — a place to step out of the everyday and into the forest. Just an hour from San Francisco, San Jose, and Santa Cruz, it’s the perfect escape for anyone seeking calm, clarity, and a deeper connection to nature.The retreat unfolds across a mix of cozy cabins, a serene yurt, camping sites, and tents, each opening onto the lush forest that surrounds us. Wander along the creek, linger in the sunlight, or simply sink into the quiet of the trees. As dusk falls, gather around the fire or drum circle, letting the warmth, rhythm, and starry night draw the day to a close.

Itinerary
Arrive at camp and immediately immerse yourself in the serene beauty of your surroundings as you settle into your personal campsite. For those arriving early, will kick off our weekend with an intention-setting sound foraging experience, helping you ground and center yourself for the days ahead.
As the sun sets, indulge in a farm-to-table feast, thoughtfully crafted by renowned chef Chad Greer, served beneath a sky ablaze with stars. After dinner, gather around the crackling bonfire to enjoy handcrafted drinks, or dive into a mystery-filled game night with Kinship The Game in the geometric dome—an evening of connection and excitement awaits.
Know Before You Go
Venture Retreat Center is located 1 hour from San Francisco and about a 6 hour drive from Los Angeles. If coming from LA we recommend flying to SFO (45 Minute flight) and driving to the property (1 hour drive). Even with renting a car this will be shorter and cheaper than gas.
Campers may begin checking in at 12pm on Friday to set up their campsites. Detailed directions and location will be provided upon ticket confirmation.
