Usal and Walmart are teaming up to help you level up how you enjoy your local park. We're tapping into Walmart Delivers, their newest experiential campaign bringing your FYPs on wheels to cities across the country—each experience designed to help you level up what you love. And when Walmart Delivers pulls up with your nature break, Usal will be there too, hosting free community programming that gets you outside, connects you with others, and celebrates the parks that make our cities thrive.
As part of the activation, you’ll discover your park “persona” and get a kit of essentials that fits your style of park life—whether that’s stretching out in the sun, showing up fully stocked, or walking with friends.
Your park day begins at the Walmart Delivers truck: the hub for everything you need to kick off time outside, stocked with gear, connection, and inspiration.

In this guided walk with Michael Lombardo of McGolrick Birding Club, guests will learn birding techniques and gain the confidence to explore on your own, all while connecting with a vibrant and welcoming community. Perfect for new birders—you'll have the opportunity to spot unique species you may have never noticed before. Weather permitting.

4:30 PM – Meet & Introduction
Gather with Michael Lombardo of the McGolrick Birding Club for an introduction to local bird species and what to watch for on our walk.
4:35 PM – Guided Birding Walk
Stroll through the park at a relaxed pace, pausing to spot and identify birds while learning about their behaviors, calls, and habitats.
5:05 PM – Closing Circle
Return to our starting point for final observations, questions, and a chance to share favorite sightings from the walk.
5:15 PM – Wrap Up
Leave with new knowledge, fresh perspective, and maybe even a few new feathered friends to look for on your own.
WHERE TO MEET
We’ll meet at the Walmart Delivers truck near Fort Greene Park on Washington Park between Dekalb Ave and Willoughby Ave in Brooklyn, NY at 4:30 PM before heading into the park together as a group. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to enjoy the in-truck experience and check in there. Late arrivals will be accommodated if space allows.
