Usal × Walmart – Solar Art: Cyanotype Printing 101
Come Touch Grass With Us
Usal and Walmart are teaming up to bring more of what you love to city parks. We're tapping into Walmart Delivers, their newest campaign bringing a fleet of immersive delivery trucks across the country — each designed to help level up what you love.
And when Walmart Delivers pulls up with your nature break, Usal will be there too, hosting free community programming that gets you outside, connects you with others, and celebrates the parks that make our cities thrive.
As part of the activation, you’ll discover your park “persona” and get a kit of essentials that fits your style of park life—whether that’s stretching out in the sun, showing up fully stocked, or walking with friends.
Your park day begins at the Walmart Delivers truck: the hub for everything you need to kick off time outside, stocked with gear, connection, and inspiration. Come explore with us! Check out walmart-delivers.com to learn more about the full Walmart Delivers tour.

Event Description
Join visual artist Morgan Newton as we discover the art of cyanotype printing in this hands-on workshop which uses the sun to create striking blue images. You’ll arrange natural materials to create designs on your canvas and let sunlight bring your creation to life. No experience needed—just curiosity and a love of experimenting with nature and light. Catch the light and turn it into art.
About
Morgan Newton is a painter, conceptual artist, and Howard University Alumna based in Houston, Texas. Newton’s body work explores the phenomenon (or nuances) of black womanhood, identity, and “being”. Through this practice she deepens her relationship with her southern familial roots, black womanhood, spirituality, and healing in all forms. Her work centers the idea of “being” as a black woman and explores what that means. Her mission is to inspire others with her transparency so they can see themselves in her work. A question that centers her practice is What does it mean to “be”? In this shade? In this body? The continuation of this exploration is crucial in her journey to formulate a deeper meaning of her past, present and future self.
