Usal and Walmart are teaming up to bring more of what you love to city parks. We're tapping into Walmart Delivers, their newest campaign bringing a fleet of immersive delivery trucks across the country — each designed to help level up what you love.
And when Walmart Delivers pulls up with your nature break, Usal will be there too, hosting free community programming that gets you outside, connects you with others, and celebrates the parks that make our cities thrive.
As part of the activation, you’ll discover your park “persona” and get a kit of essentials that fits your style of park life—whether that’s stretching out in the sun, showing up fully stocked, or walking with friends.
Your park day begins at the Walmart Delivers truck: the hub for everything you need to kick off time outside, stocked with gear, connection, and inspiration.

Led by Taylor Bates, you'll learn how to craft wild, bouquets that are equal parts beauty and function—portable arrangements you can carry from picnic table to trailhead. You’ll begin at the Walmart Delivers truck, where you’ll check in and grab a few essentials before heading into the park. From there, we’ll play with seasonal blooms and greenery, experimenting with ways to balance rugged readiness with everyday elegance. You’ll head home with a bouquet that’s your own, along with the confidence to turn whatever’s around you—whether from the market, the park, or your pack—into something thoughtful to bring a little wildness home.

2:00pm – Meet Up
Gather at the Walmart Delivers Truck to check in and connect with the group before walking into the park together.
2:30pm – Hands-On Bouquet Making
You’ll play with color, texture, and form as you create a locally-sourced, functional bouquet to carry from park to home.
3:15pm – Workshop Ends

Taylor Bates is a Chicago-based floral designer. What began as a solo project in 2020, supported by family and friends, has grown into a practice rooted in curiosity and care. Taylor approaches each arrangement with intention—playing with texture, color, and form to create bouquets that feel both grounded and unexpected. At Dusk Lily, flowers aren’t just decoration; they’re a way to pause, to notice, and to carry a little piece of beauty forward.
Where To meet
We’ll meet at the Walmart Delivers truck near Stockton & LaSalle at 2:00 before heading into the park together as a group. Please arrive at least 30 minutes early to enjoy the in-truck experience and check in there. Late arrivals will be accommodated if space allows.
