Usal × Walmart – Wild Stems: Seasonal Bouquet Building

Come touch Grass With us

Usal and Walmart are teaming up to bring more of what you love to city parks. We're tapping into Walmart Delivers, their newest campaign bringing a fleet of immersive delivery trucks across the country — each designed to help level up what you love.
And when Walmart Delivers pulls up with your nature break, Usal will be there too, hosting free community programming that gets you outside, connects you with others, and celebrates the parks that make our cities thrive.
As part of the activation, you’ll discover your park “persona” and get a kit of essentials that fits your style of park life—whether that’s stretching out in the sun, showing up fully stocked, or walking with friends.
Your park day begins at the Walmart Delivers truck: the hub for everything you need to kick off time outside, stocked with gear, connection, and inspiration. Come explore with us! Check out walmart-delivers.com to learn more about the full Walmart Delivers tour.

Event Description

In this guided workshop, Jemine Oakes of The Flora Culture will lead you through the art of hand-tied floral arrangements with thoughtfully curated seasonal stems. Think warm hues, crisp textures, and fragrant notes that capture the essence of Houston. Your finished bouquet becomes a portable piece of fall ready to brighten your home or gift to a friend. Like a true Park Prepper, you’ll leave with your arms full and your senses filled.
Jemine Oakes co-owns The Flora Culture with her husband Matthew Oakes. The Flora Culture is an indoor plant shop with two locations in Houston, Texas. The Flora Culture focuses on biophilic design, the idea that humans have an innate desire to connect with nature and using plants and flowers to style and design interiors. Workshops and educational experiences are also at the core of The Flora Culture’s desire to build communities because knowledge about plants and flowers and how to care for them promotes confidence. Jemine is the primary floral designer and does weekly offerings and subscriptions to residential and corporate clients as well as events and weddings.
