Nick Sharp is a Venice based therapist and outdoor guide on a mission to help humans remember that we are nature too. Nick organizes and leads multi sensory experiences structured to integrate present moment awareness and attunement. This includes working with horses, hikes, surfs, sails, and wilderness adventures. He founded This is Water, a water community dedicated to providing high adventure sailing expeditions internationally.

This is Water is now committed to creating accessible programs for folks in and around Los Angeles to be on the water, many for the first time. Nick began sailing tall ships out of Key West a decade ago, and today works with individuals and groups on deepening their relationship to water and the world around us. He leads with listening, and creates openings for people to step into their own empowerment and possibility.

Proceeds will benefit the local nonprofit, SB Bliss on building their nautical school project for youth, called Samphire

Itinerary

We will be voyaging on a roomy 58 foot classicly restored mono-haul sailboat. The vessel is designed for comfort. We can’t predict the weather, but we will embrace the elements as they come and enjoy the sunset together.

We will move alongside diverse marine life, including sea lions and dolphins below, and a variety of birds above. You are open to relaxing with the ocean, learning sailing fundamentals and/or participating in a variety of relational exercises while underway.

Participants are welcome to bring swim suits, jump in the water, and enjoy the scenery.

Please Note: When boating its customary to tip your captain 10-20% if you enjoyed the experience.
